6-Layer Bamboo Hemp Cotton Cloth Diaper Insert - Night Time Solution
Mama Koala 6-Layer Bamboo and Hemp Cotton Inserts featuring 6 layers of natural bamboo, cotton and natural hemp fibres, we give you ultimate fast absorption without a lot of bulk. It is perfect for heavy wetters and nighttime use!
The only insert you will need for any diaper! Place the bamboo side closest to baby’s bum.
NOTE: Please note that slight shrinkage and the "bacon effect" are common for hemp and cotton fabrics after the first few washes (especially after drying in the dryer). Hanging dry or stretching them back out when wet will be very helpful. After more use in a few months, they'll flat out again!
Pre-wash
All cloth diapers should be pre-washed at least once before use, so the diapers fluff up and achieve optimal softness and absorbency.
For microfiber inserts, it is recommended to pre-wash them at least once before using.
For natural fabric inserts, more washes are required to become fully absorbent.
Main Wash
- Dump, drop, scrape, or spray solids into the toilet. For exclusively breastfed poop - it does not require any special removal. Breastmilk poop is 100% organic and will dissolve in the wash.
- Prewash with a small amount of detergent.
- Main wash: add the recommended amount of detergent for the appropriate load size.
- Cool rinse (optional). If you live in a hard water area, we do not recommend doing an extra rinse after the main wash because it might lead to build-up on diapers.
- Tumble dry low, hanging dry, or lay flat to dry
Tips: The water temperature should be 40°C/104°F max in any steps. We do not recommend using free&clear or natural types of detergents because hot water is required to rinse them. However, hot water will shorten the service life of the elastics and TPU.

These inserts are amazing!! I bought these and some shells from trademe for my son, I also got some bear and moo ones, I found these inserts with a bamboo lined shell have the best absorbency. My son is a heavy wetter so these are the only ones that stop him leaking everywhere!!
This is my go to insert. Great for stopping compression leaks in the car or for overnight heavy wetting.

The insert is a great solution if you are used to combine bamboo inserts with hemp inserts, but found the combo too bulky for daytime use. I would have like this version to have snaps too, but I do understand that the layers make it hard to have snaps inserted securely.
Over night diapering can be tricky… these inserts are great! Very absorbent to minimize the need to change in the night. Definitely recommend!
